Getting Started
Getting started in the MODEM community is easy. First, register as a user - it's free and quick. When you're registered, log in and have a browse around the site.
Making music with MODEM
MODEM helps students collaborate on music projects by providing an environment where music project files may be shared by users, with a collaborate forum where users discuss these projects. There are two main forums for collaboration. The offline forum is for discussing projects made using all sorts of computer music production software, e.g. Steinberg Cubase, Sony Acid, Propellerheads Reason or Ableton Live. For users with little or no prior knowledge of music production software MODEM also provides a basic sequencer for learning about computer music production which runs in the web browser. The sequencer has it's own sequencer forum too.
